Low bp and pregnancy

I am 25 weeks, I take 90 mg of Procardia XL daily. Two weeks ago my bp was 110/70 and the last couple of days I have had headaches off and on. Today my bp was 99/59. Should I take my evening dose of Procardia XL or hold the dose until I can talk with my obgyn?

Are you taking the procardia for your blood pressure or for preterm labor issues? I would call the ob and talk to a nurse before your next dose is due.

Oh, & I do have a suggestion for ya!!!
I can send one of my kids to your home for a few hours, that should raise your blood pressure a bit!!!!  I KNOW it does mine!!! LOL ( actually, so does my hubby at times:)

I agree w/Jen.  Call & talk to a DR before you stop taking it.  Maybe they'll just lower your dose, or something.
Believe it or not, my blood pressure was almost always lower than non pregnant for me!  & I remember most of the time (unless I was stressed!!!) it was always under 110/70.  I remember cuz the nurses would comment on it.  I wasn't on meds though.

Try not to worry too much!  I'm sure your fine, & as soon as you talk to a DR you'll feel even better!

I don't think there's anybody on the forum who could advise you whether to take Procardia XL or not.  I think you should call your doctor and talk to the on-call doctor about this.  None of us are medical professionals - even my husband who's a pharmacist would never give any advice w/out having all of the facts.  I'm so sorry that we can't be more help but call your doctor's office now and see what they want you to do and best of luck - jen
