I am so sorry to hear that you're going through all this. I hope that the docs will be able to come up with something for you guys to have a baby. Just hang in there. Things will get better for you. Take care and good luck. Keep me posted.
How low was his sperm count/motility? And are you doing an IUI this month? If so, it's OK if the sample is a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys lower than normal, since it will be washed and all the strong "swimmers" will be inserted straight into the uterus.
I am sorry this is proving to be so tough for you. Lots of couples with this issue have still conceived, and I have read that IUI is often a good option. We are here cheering you on, hang in there, things have an amazing way of working out!! I'm sure your Dr. will have some good suggestions and recommendations for you!
Hi! Sorry you're getting iffy news about your fertility and your hubby's. Rest assured that many many couples with your issues have gone on to have children. In the case of sperm analysis in particular, most honest specialists will tell you that although they are very good at doing various analyses, they are not very good at all at knowing what the results mean in terms of real fertility.
For instance, my husband had a particular kind of chemotherapy many years ago, and there have been studies on the sperm and fertility of men who had this same therapy. Results showed that - yes - their sperm had been affected - most of them had low motility, and quite a number had counts under 1,000 (very very low). But guess what - many of these men were also fathers!
Sometimes nutrients are helpful for low sperm count/motility. If you are into doing a little research, check out l-carnitine (an amino acid). Also, antioxidants such as vitamin C and E are said to be helpful.
I know it's very discouraging news but please take heart! Many things have proven to have fantastic results for bumping sperm count. Things as simple as adding zinc supplements to his daily regimen, making sure he's wearing loose enough underwear, getting some moderate exercise, and believe it or not, acupuncture! It has shown great results for male fertility. And they don't even put the needles in his sensitive bits. :)
