"Morning" Sickness

Any tips for dealing with constant nausea?   I guess I'm lucky because I don't actually have to throw up,  but this uncomfortable nausea all day is a real pain.   It's worse at night and makes going to sleep a real struggle.
This is my second pregnancy, but I didn't have any nausea the first time around.  Any advice would be lovely!

When i was sick with my first preg, i was sick all day and night, the only thing i could eat or drink was crackers and milk. Also, i switched my prenatal to the evening only so i went to sleep and that helped a lot with the nausea. Yay, you're having a baby! :-D

Ginger beer ice blocks worked for me and good way of getting some fluid on board.
Beige food ;toast, corn, cereal, popcorn, crackers, were bearable in small amounts.
Eat little and often. Get someone else to cook. Don't worry if you can't eat much- baby should be just fine.
Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is the drug most effective in trials for pregnancy associated nausea.

Every pregnancy is different. And it is completly normal for some to have nausea and vomiting during the whole pregnancy. Real fruit popcicles helped me some. But you can also ask your doctor for some zofran. Its safe and works well. Good luck.

Lemonhead hard candies have been helping me. I feel the same way. Nauseous all day and night to the point I don't want to get out of bed or move at all. Zofran worked for me for a couple of days and then after that, it stopped working. Diclegis didn't work for me either. I just make sure to eat what my mind tells me I want. I am craving more lemony, salty type foods. I also drink a lot of water and some Sprite.

I heard smelling lemons or anything that you enjoy smelling in hot water to sip. It's all about the nose.

Question...how far along are you?  At 20 weeks I was still having what I thought was morning sickness (all day nausea).  But it was my gallbladder and had to be surgically removed. Granted this is worse case Scenario.  Ask the doctor at your next visit.  Constant nausea is not normal into your second trimester.

Keep something on your stomach. Usually, the nausea sets in when your stomach is near empty. Keep crackers with you. Peppermint and ginger will help calm your stomach.

I did the unisom/B6 combo and it worked. When I needed something stronger I used Phenergan. If you want to go the natural route try smelling lemons. It sounds lame, but it kinda works. The only thing is you'll be carrying around a lemon and that can get old.
Good luck. I hope this passes soon.

I was the same as u.  I ate fruit, toast w/butter & jelly, cheese stick, drank soda.  I literally horrible all day long for the first 12 wks.  If anything ask Ur Dr for anti nausea medication or u can take Unisom otc (doxylamine succinate 25mg).  It was originally made as anti nausea meds, but now it's a sleep aid cuz it knocks ppl out.  The new anti nausea prescription for pregnant women is called I believe diclegis which some insurances dont cover.  So a half pill of Unisom should do it since its the same ingredient.  Check it out.  Hope u feel better soon!!
