by Nicki19, Aug 01, 2009 03:35AM
Hi Gals..regards to all...i m a new member in this forum.

Totally broken and dishearten..given up due to idiot docs..i come up straight to my problem....

I m 35 years of and me and my husband trying for a baby for 6 months now...our doc suggested us to go for an iui.I had a follicle of 32 mm in May 2009 and she did not do the iui saying that the follicle is turned into a cyst and have echoes. She suggested me to have a laproscopy done to check my tubes etc.I had lap in June 2009..had little bit of endo and some cysts..al clear. She said still u need my assistance to get preg and come for iui next month...we took  all injections.I had a 34 days cycle that month but she started follicular study from day 9.

Follicle formed was good and round...i had all ovulation symptoms on day 16..had pre ovulation spotting and BBT went high...very happy we went for an ultrasound and again after so much..the same story..follicle have echoes..no folliucle ruptured..they said u have not ovulated although i had all symptoms pains etc..again was said to come next month.

After getting the surgery done and after all these injections and ovulation symptoms my doc has no reason why the follicles are not ruptured and the only answer she says is thats ur bad luck...

not able to breathe...m dieing...can any one help..is anyone listnening...even god doesnt...

My husbands all reports are perfect.

pls pls pls pls pls help

I'm so sorry this has happened - 32 mm seems really large for a follicle at day 16 (or approx).  That's the first thing that comes to mind.  I really don't have answers for this and hopefully there will be someone out in cyber-land who'll be able to shed light on this matter.

Have you tried posting your question on the fertility forum?  Those ladies over there are wonderful about knowing their stuff - most of them have been through IUI's and IVF (I went through 2 IVF cycles but not IUI"s) & they might be able to help.  Not to sound ignorant, but did your doctor give you a trigger injection to help you ovulate? - jen

I am so sorry you feel this way. Many of us here understand your feelings...wanting a baby so badly and having issues with fertility.  I am not sure what type of advice to give you except that working with Dr's seems to be your best bet.  If you are unhappy with your current Dr., you should try to find another.  And I agree with Jen that you might get some really good info on the fertililty forum.  I wish you well and hope that your dream happens. Don't give up, keep searching.  The answer is there somewhere, you just have to keep looking until you find it.  Good luck to you.

wondering if they did an HCG trigger shot or not??  If not maybe you can ask for one next cycle.  It is supposed to trigger ovulation and is given when the follicle is around 20mm.

hello! boy i know how you feel! I have a simliar condition (LUFS - lutenizing unruptured follicle syndrome its called) its apparently rare.. but after over a year of trying to get preg (a lap showing severe endo and removal of most of one ovary) we found my "good" ovary was like this - stubborn! i used oral and injectable fertility meds, and even with the ovidrel (hcg trigger shot) my follicles would still not rupture, at times i woudl have three or four good ones!
My dr increased my trigger shot to a stronger one - novarel...  its the strongest trigger shot you can do, and works well for lufs usually.. however even with that shot usually only 1 in 3 follies would rupture... so we would just overstimulate.. at times i'd have 6 or 7 follies and we would trigger and get 2 or 3 to rupture.. we did get pregnant that way though.. and there is deifntely hope! I had to go on the birth control pill one month due to three cysts after a cycle and i got off and we got pregnnat naturally  - and we are 27 weeks now!!! so dont give up! its SUPER frustrating, but there are lots of ways out there to help nowadays! : )    Ask your dr about Novarel injection trigger..and stimulating more follicles.. and if that doesnt work IVF should work great as well, since it bypasses the rupturing, but hopefully you wont need that!! GOOD LUCK and keep us updated!
