No menstral cycle after D & C

I just joined this forum. I had a m/c at 5 wks in April of this year. It was my first pregnancy and I am 35. I had a D&C and haven't had a normal menstral cycle since then. My husband and I want to try again but want to make sure everything is okay with me physically. I have taken the 10 days of Provera to "jump start" my cycle and was even on the pill to help me get my cycle regulated. To date...nothing. I am worried that something isn't right with my body since I had the D&C. Is there a chance I may have stopped ovulating or possibly infertile?

Well it can take 2 to 3 months before you get a regular cycle. But that does NOT mean you are not ovulating!!! I got pregnant the very next month after a D&C w/no bleeding in between.  Im same age as you and it was my 2nd m/c.  Im glad to hear you are ready to try again! If you dont get a cycle in Aug I would make an appt w/your doctor for an exam.  Best of luck to you!

I agree, also it is possible that you are pg again? It does happen often to ladies after a d&c.  My cycle was pretty much back to normal after 6-8wks.

Ditto to what the other ladies said.  It can take awhile for all the hormones to settle down and everything to go back to normal.  I have had 2 D&C's and although I ovulated next cycle, it came later then usual (I usually get my positive on Ovulation predictor kit day 11, after D&C wouldn't get it till day 15 or so).    But like the others said, I would have yourself checked out.  I had my first period about 5 weeks after both times, and by second period was very normal again.  All will be well I am sure.
