u just answered a question I've been wondering about I did a first response test also a day or two after missed period and i'm almost 2 weeks past now but I've been nervous to do another test and be disappointed because first response is supposed to be the most accurate and I've been nervous to go to doctor and they think i'm just being over reacting or worse find something wrong with me I think i'll go pick up another test or go to clinic tomorrow
Hi again! Thinking that I was having another unpredictable cycle length I chalked this month's no-show period to just that.. HOWEVER, yesterday I took 2 HPTs and both show up positive!! So, next week I will go to see the doctor. I guess my partner and I lucked out because we were just trying all over the place since I had no clue as to when I was ovulating. Just wanted to update. Thanks for the support!
Well, mystery solved. I started my period yesterday and to be honest I am just thankful to have peace of mind. Turns out this past cycle was a dreadful 36 days which was absolutely unexpected but there you have it. I am just thankful to not be going crazy anymore. I am more than frustrated considering I can't rely on my cycle enough to pinpoint my days of ovulation but I guess I can always use the strips to see when I am moving forward?
Also turns out the clinic was right about it being a waste of money but that's okay too. If I am really that freaked out again I would request a blood test again because it's the best I can do in the situation.
Here's to trying again this month! :)
I feel your frustration, i hated not knowing for sure either. But at least the blood test will give you an accurate result, and if its a negative then lets hope your AF comes soon so you can get back to trying! :) Let us know how you go Monday.
So, I went into the clinic and did a urine test. It was BFN which I knew it would be so I asked for a blood test. They told me that it would probably be a waste of money but that they would do it. Don't get me wrong, the people were nice but they just didn't think I needed to do it which had me discouraged but at least they did it. So, I will know by either tomorrow or Monday. I am now resigned to thinking it's going to be negative. When I was pregnant before I had no issues with positive results so I'm a little weary now. Still, I have not had my period and it's a 6 days late or so.
Hello- I got so many BFNs thus far that I just couldn't bring myself to test at home again. I have an appt set for tomorrow early morning where they will do a urine and then blood (if necessary). As with any blood test, I won't know until next week. But who knows..I might test positive on the urine test and will just carry forth from there. Either way, at least I am going in to see someone tomorrow which will give me some relief.
I didn't get a positive on a home pregnancy test until i was 5 days late! Even when i used a first response on the morning of the 5th day, it was very faint. And yet with my other 2 pregnancies i got a positive after 2 days. Good luck!!
Good luck n hope its good news!!!
Flickan & truelove124- Thank you both for your responses. I absolutely appreciate them so much.
I will need to wait until tomorrow to catch the 1st morning urine as I've already let that go today, oh well! Also, I need to prepare mentally for a BFN (although I am so hopeful prior) and see it 1st thing in the morning could quite possibly sour my day (if I let it).
And I would LOVE for this to be a false neg of course but yeah, I am just wondering how long this could go on. Also, I am uninsured at the moment so I guess I can go to Planned Parenthood b/c they do a blood test at the customer's request.
I wish I could do this morning all over again but I guess tomorrow morning I'll retest.
Thanks again so much!
yes you can always have the chance of a pregnancy test saying negative an still can be pregnant but you can never have a false positive, yes it is very possible you can still be pregnant.
