Has anyone else experienced this early on in the pregnancy?
I'm 13 weeks and I've been having hadaches for the past 2 weeks already, sometimes they last 3 days in a row, then I get one day break and then it's back on. Dr said that I can use regular strengh tylenol, but I try not to hold out as long as I can without taking the meds. I'm not even sure how often I can take it.
Could it be pregnancy related?
EEEP! I've not had any headaches yet (I'm nearly 13 weeks), but I'm still barfing my guts out. :(
Actually, the vomiting is better than it was, but I still get in a handful a week. Last week it was the employee bathroom and my Mexican lunch. This morning it was in the bathroom sink while putting on makeup! LOL!
I haven't actually completely cut out my caffiene, but I've cut way back on it. I have maybe 1 can of regular coke a day, or on a bad day, maybe two. I figure that might be helping me not get headaches. I figure if hormones were going to make my head hurt, they would have by now. The fertility drugs stimulated me so badly I started leaking collostrum at 7 weeks. I'm STILL leaking and it's even worse now!
Headaches were actually my first symptom, was getting them even before I knew I was pregnant. I had hubby massage temples and shoulders. I was really paranoid about any meds cause I knew there was a possibility. That helped alot. Did take the odd tylenol after my doc said it was fine.
I am 17 weeks and still have headaches. I had them really bad from the start. It just got worse for me as the Dr. put me on weekly progestrin shots. I did take tylenol about 15 mins before I got my weekly shot. This helped a little. Now I just try to get rest. But with 3 activite kids it's always hard to.
Sheri1972 I am sorry your still getting sick. I feel your pain. The weird thing is that I foung that orange soda helps me. It has no caffine. I am not sure why it helps me but it does.
the headaches are caused by the surge in hormones going through your body during pregnancy. my co-worker took tylenol everyday for her headaches while pregnant and there was nothing wrong with that. they even say you can have tylenol PM, since the sleepy aid is only benadryl and that os okay to have while pregnant.
Headaches were a big deal before pregnancy, now the hormones make it worse. My doctor told me I could have Tylenol PM. That is the only thing that would knock it out. Also, don't wait until it is unbearable to finally take something. Get a head start as soon as the headache starts. You can take it every 4 hrs.
I am 21 wks. and still have headaches. I try to hold off on the tylenol til I can't stand it too. I also sometimes have a little caffeine too. I think my sinuses sometimes affect my headaches also- stuffy ears and nose.
i suffer from frequent migraine headaches. these have just about stopped during pregnancy. my neurologist says it can go either way...
due to the hormonal changes, some girls headaches go away.... others get headaches more often.
sorry for you. my ob has me on acetaminophen/butalbital/caffeine as needed for headaches. its a generic for fioricet. (which my ob says is fine)
