I did direct deposit and I am waiting for mine....

I work in a cpa office - the direct deposits were suppose to start last Friday, but they started them a few days early, so the next round should be in the next day or so.  But that is for Direct Deposit only - if you filled that section out on your 2007 return (even if you owed) it should come to you as direct deposit. If that section was not completed on your 2007 return you will get a check and that starts next week I think.  The ssn they go off of is the primary on the return - so if you file married and DH is primary, it is his ssn not yours.  My DH's last 2 digits is 22 so we should be getting ours any day now.  We just spent $600 on gutters before rainy season kicks in so I need to repay that into our savings and the rest to credit card........I wish I could just spend it or save it to pay myself while I'm out of work to take longer off, but think paying the cc is better right now.

Ok, I went to www.irs.gov and found the link to enquire where my stimulus check is (its similiar to finding out when you should receive your tax refund).  Although my SS# ends in 02 I am not scheduled to receive mine until May 16th.

I hope this link works.......click on "wheres my stimulus payment" and fill in your info and it will tell you how much you are getting and when to expect it.

Hmmmm, I haven't gotten mine yet and according to the chart I should have received it May 2. The Govt. must not like me. I will have to go investigate. Its one thing to not know your supposed to get money but let it not happen when you know you are, watch out! LOL.

Looks like next week for me. I think this was great for the gov to do seeing that we're all in a pickle. Gas in my city is $3.86!! Sigh.

For us it's between wood floors (for the baby room) now or we'll wait until Sept., a couch which we desperatly need (ours has holes in it!!), or we were thinking for a partial payment to a wedding we are going to in CA. I'm pushing for the couch because the current one is just gross.

I think that is your DH's social.... i could be wrong.. but it has been the case for quite a few people I know..

The disbursement is according to the last two of your SSN. According to IRS.GOV the schedule is:

DIRECT DEPOSIT

Last two SSN digits:  Payments will be transmitted no later than:
00 through 20  May 2
21 through 75  May 9
76 through 99  May 16
  
Paper checks will also go out based on Social Security number. For Social Security numbers ending in 00 through 09, the paper checks will be mailed starting May 9 and will continue through May 16. A similar process will be repeated in the following weeks.
