I too have been experiencing a lot of stretching and pulling the last 4 weeks (am 22 1/2 weeks along). Also, when I walk or turn a certain position I feel a lot of tightness or a cramp to my right lower quadrant. I'm sure these are the round ligaments that are supporting the uterus. As the uterus grows, these ligaments get stretched. I heard the right side is more affected than the left side since the uterus tilts to the right.
I think as long as there is not severe pain, you are fine. You may also start feeling your baby move and this might be causing a stretching feeling.
Good luck.
I agree with brigadiva...sometimes when those ligaments are stretching out it can be downright painful (usually on right side). However, I also agree with what she said in that if in doubt, always best to talk to your Dr. Good luck to you!!
Thanks i kind thought that was what it is but i wanted to make sure. It's not painful its just pressure and stretching. I go to the doct on Friday. Thanks for the advice
If it is the same kind of thing I had earlier on, then I'd say it is probably normal. There is a lot of growth and changing going on inside you and sometimes it just feels weird and downright uncomfortable! But if it is really painful or you just don't feel right about it, always call your doctor. There is nothing like peace of mind when you are pregnant and worried!
