Please help, I'm new to the site

I'm new to the site and posted a question earlier today but received no help.  I recently found out I was pregnant after having a tubal ligation 6 years ago.  I started to bleed the day after I took the hpt and called the doctor on Mon.  Dr. did an internal ultrasound and said I couldn't be very far along, only 7 to 10 days.  He cold not see anything except thickening and blood.  He said that it did not look like a viable pregnancy and may be etopic.  Dr. took hCG level and sent me home.  Went back in two days for second test, first level was 70 and the second was 76.  I also stopped bleeding that afternoon.  The bleeding seemed like a normal period.  Dr. said it was nothing to worry about with levels being this low and that my body would take care of the problem.  I go back next week for another set of blood tests.  Should I be worried or just wait?  Is there a chance this could work out with a happy ending, because I never knew I wanted another baby until I seen the test.  Please help!!!

Your Dr. said nothing to worry about that your body would take care of it because he thinks you are having a miscarriage. The period was probably the miscarriage because you weren't that far along. The #'s should have doubled so them rising by 6 is not a good sign at all.  Your blood test #'s will probably very low, close to zero by next week. I am sorry :(

Hi,
I'm sorry no one answered your post.  Some days we don't get on a s much as others.
Well I am really sorry about your possible m/c.  It sort of sounds like your level is increasing, is that right 70 to 76 which could be a good sign.?
I would wait until your next blood test and ultrasound to see how things are progressing .
You are very early on in your pregnancy so things may work out.  Only time can tell.  Some woman have what seems like regular periods right after they conceive.
I will send out positive thoughts to you that you have a viable pregnancy.
Keep us posted,
Lisa
