Post M/C Tests

Hi all - I had a MC at 14 weeks in July and had both the baby and my blood tested. Nothing was abnormal. Not chromosomal. No clotting. No infections. The whole 9 yards. Just had another MC at 8 weeks but no tests on fetal tissue. What else should I be tested for? Any suggestions?

I am sorry for your losses, but I also had 2 m/c about 5 months apart and they did no test on me of any kind but then I lost mine at about 4 weeks. But I am still trying and every month I get excited then all my hopes go down the drain when I start af.

I'm so sorry for your losses.  It's hard enough to lose 1, but 2 is horrible!

I had 2 babies, a m/c, a baby, another m/c, and am now 17w pg.  After my 2nd m/c the dr ran many, many tests (about 13 vials of blood) and discovered that I have 2 clotting disorders.  Some drs won't test until you've had 3 m/c's, but that's just too much if you ask me.  Ask your dr for a m/c workup--he should have a long list of tests to run.  Best wishes.

i had 2 MC's in a row and with the second one, i did the same as you.  i had the tissues tested and tons of blood work.  I also had an HSG exam, did you have one of those?

but all my tests came back normal and then i got pregnant again and here i am almost 26 weeks along.  so hang in there.  ask for an hsg exam if you have not done so yet.

I had all the same tests, and I can't remember if there was anything else.  There was so much written on the blood test form.  I honestly can't think of anything else, so hopefully if all was normal, that means you should be able to carry.  Did you by chance see a genetic counsellor?  That would be the only other thing I can think of.

All the best to you!!!!
