Prednisone safety

Am trying to conceive and was just prescribed a 6 day prednisone pack for herniated disc. Wondering if it's safe to continue trying or should we wait until in done with the medication. And if I should wait, how long until it's out of my system?

I got pregnant through ivf. Part of the medical protocol is taking steroids for 5 days after the embryo transfer so your body will not reject it. The doctors told me not to worry. I would think it would be the same with you. Good luck!

I agree with lynda; I was on prednisone starting right before my IVF up until 12 weeks pregnant.
