Pregnancy and Lupron injection

Hello

Hope you may share your experience of finishing 6 months of lupron shots.

Has anyone gotten pregnancy or not able to get pregnancy after the full 6 months of lupron shots?

Did the lupron shots caused birth defects or infant death or bad health?

Did the shots cause your other health problems that affected your daily work?

Did you still experience endometrosis during or afterwards the 6 months of lupron shots?

I really want to have babies and to be a good mother. It's my old wish since I was child. Hope you can share your experience and someone you known with the shot experience.

Thank you so much for sharing!

hello

I was wondering what stage of endometrios did you have.... I have stage 4 endometrios and is wondering if the lupron injestion would work for preganancy. I was advised that i would need IVF to conceive and is just looking to see if there are any alternatives. I have heard alot of story were women have tried the lupron injestion and conceived without IVF.

thank you

I had my last injection of Lupron on Jan. 16th of this year and I just took 3 pregnancy test in the last 24 hours and they are all positive! My dr. said that their is always a chance of getting pregnant if your on lupron and not using additional forms of birthcontrol.  So Good Luck, this will be number 4 for me!

Hi hunny, here, i'll first respond to your questions and then share my experience.

*Has anyone gotten pregnancy or not able to get pregnancy after the full 6 months of lupron shots?

Lupron is supposed to wear off your system after 3 months of your LAST shot... so, if say me, i had my last shot in the last days of April, that makes May, June, July.... and VOALA! i got preggy in August 2007! =)

*Did the lupron shots caused birth defects or infant death or bad health?

No, lupron is just supposed to put you in  a menopause state, so your ovaries don't produce estrogen (and doesn't feed the endo or fibroids anymore) so they shrink... and you'll be good to go. My baby girl (Im 8 months preggo) is as healthy as can be, no visible problems, growing fast and up to where she should be (in fact a little chunky! =)), and no, it doesn't cause any bad health to you.... just some secondary effects like back pain, hair loss (some), sleepiness or lack of, bad mood... blah blah blah....

*Did the shots cause your other health problems that affected your daily work?

Not more than my depression after having a loss (well couple ones) and suffer from miserable infertility afterwards!

*Did you still experience endometrosis during or afterwards the 6 months of lupron shots?

Not in my personal experience...

*I really want to have babies and to be a good mother. It's my old wish since I was child. Hope you can share your experience and someone you known with the shot experience.

I am sure you will be an EXCELLENT mommy! you are fighting for what you want! this is what TRUE mothers do!, you most likely WILL get pregnant after your treatment if you are ovulating regularly and nothing else is in sight that may prevent you from! i know being patient does suck! lol, but don't worry, time will go by fast and in no time your biggest dream will come true.

I wish you ALL the best luck in the world and I wish you carry a healthy baby to term with no other problems or issues!!!

wishing you all the morning sickness in the world! lol (don't take me wrong! is good sign to have a bad morning sickness when you're preggo! means everything is going fine...;))
