Pregnant at 38

I took a hpt on 12/31 and it was positive. I couldn't believe it so I took another the next day with same results! This is my first and I've never been pregnant before. I'm so excited and hope everything turns out well when I see the doctor on the 17th which they say will put me at 8 weeks. The only symptoms I've noticed is I wake up to pee  in the middle of the night which I rarely do, I get cold easily and my digestive system is so out of wack. I always had problems going regularly but now it's worse. I'm lucky if I go twice a week. Anyone have that issue so early on? I'm eating more fruit but I'll see what doc says. I feel like I'm already showing and my clothes especially my tops feel snug. I havent even changed my eating habits so I hope I don't gain too much so soon.. thank u for hearing me out. We havent told anyone until we confirm with doctor....but its hard not too!! :)

In the beginning I was waking up to pee too! I thought it was so strange that I could not sleep a full night! I was back to sleeping around my usually 7-8 hrs probably around 5 weeks. My little bump started right away, and now at almost 11 weeks, I had to buy a few things to wear. I have gained 4 pounds and I think they are all in the tummy!

Congrates to you!

Congrats! I am 40 years old and I am 29 weeks pregnant with our first. What an exciting time for all of us first time moms. Goes to show that it is never to late to become a mom!
I wish you all the best on a healthy pregnancy.
What you are experiencing so far is totally normal :)

Congratulations! The way you are feeling is totally normal. I'm 7w3d and when I first found out i was expecting I was about 4 weeks and my only symptoms were frequent urination, bloating and tender breasts. Now, they have changed a bit. Try to drink lots of water and eat more fiber :) Good luck!

Congratulations!!  I'm 17 weeks with my first one and I'm 45...had given up on ever having a child and bam, surprise surprise!  Peeing all night long is common. I think during 1st trimester I was up about every 2 hours to wee.  And constipation....yeah, get used to it.  Drink lots of water and try to get in as much fiber as possible. Oh, how exciting for you!!  Congratulations again hun.  Hope you have a wonderfully happy and healthy 9 months!
