my kids r 14& 8 but I lost my baby because of MTHFR I was not diagnosed untill after my m/c. I tried getting pregnant 4 ,many years after my daughter, I had a total 8 m/c they were very very early thank God ,my son was the hardest 2 go through ,I saw his, little heartbeat , so if this helps one family 2 not go through a loss than i want 2 let people know, I was put on heprin but i RECOMEND LOVANOX ,HEPRIN IS 2 SHOTS A DAY LOVANOX IS ONLY ONE. BY THE GRACE OF GOD ,I carried my son he was early but very healthy. I was rhneg, so that was another reason 4 the bloodthinners. u can get tested by a hematologist, they will recomend the right treatment . u can have 1gene passed down by 1 parent or u can have 2 were both parents pass down the gene 2 u. it's really good 2 go to a specialist so they can recommend the right treatment 4 u & your baby.my prayers r with u.
Thanks for your response Glenda306. My sister and dad have Factor 11 which is where their blood doesn't clot. I was negative for that. I see a specialist tomorrow so he may put me on aspirin at that time. I have been taking a prenatal vitamin and folic acid daily.
I have MTHFR and Factor V Leiden. I had 2 healthy pgs, a m/c, another healthy pg, another m/c, and now I'm 19w5d pg again. My clotting disorders were discovered after my 2nd m/c and shortly after my sister (same dr) developed a blood clot in her lung from a hospitalization. Are you on low-dose aspirin or another blood thinner? My dr put me on low-dose aspirin and Metanx (a specially metabolized form of folic acid and 2 other B vitamins). MTHFR can cause a clot to form at any time, but I don't know of any particular diificulty during the 5th or 6th months. Best wishes.
