Hello All, I am 39 yrs old and just about 13 weeks--last week I had the first "big" blood test and the ultrasound to detect Down Syndrome--the ultrasound came out great, my doc called me today and said the blood work looks good too--with my age and ultrasound combined, the risk of having a baby with Down Syndrome is 1 out 364---I am used to hearing my friends say, positive or negative--what category is this in--the doc said I shouldn't have further testing based on these stats--I am scared--what do the stats mean--are they positive or negative--and is there such thing as a false negative?
