Scared, only sac. no baby.....

So I should be 6 weeks and 4 days today. Did vaginal ultrasound and all they saw was a sac. No baby. They checked my levels and they are 15,995.  2 weeks ago they were at 1319. So going up. They are checking again mon. This pregnancy was a miracle bc i didn't think I could get pregnant after doing fertility treatments 4 years ago and I'm 41. I'm so freaked out. Has this happened to anyone? I hate I have to wait all weekend. He said I might have a blighted ovum and told me what to expect if I miscarry. Ugh so sad.

Don't worry, just keep positive. You are not bleeding and most importantly your hcg level is quite good. The hcg level is a very good indication of the pregnancy. Hope you will get better results of hcg after the weekend. Please let us know the results.

If you weren't expecting to get pregnant maybe your dates are a little out?  Fingers crossed things look good on your next follow up.

I had similar experience with an early ultrasound. Had some early bleeding and sent for exam....saw gestational sac but no baby. Two weeks later at 7wks 5 days we had baby, yolk sac and strong heart beat. Hang in there! :)

At 6 six weeks, my doctor didn't see anything, but I went back the filtering week and we were able to see sac and baby, but he couldn't get a good heartbeat because the baby was basically hiding way up in a corner. 6 - 8 weeks is very early early. Sometimes we ovulate later than we think. It's very hard not to worry because I'm almost 10 weeks with my 7th baby and I still worry, bit try to relax and leave it in God's plan. I miscarried what would've been twins right before my 3 year old daughter was born, but was able to get pregnant right after. I found peace with the miscarriage because I know that if my body miscarries that early, I know that something was wrong with it.

I had a blighted ovum my first pregnancy. My first ultrasound was at 7 weeks. My Dr. was very supportive and said that sometimes it is earlier in the pregnancy than we think and the baby may just still be too small to find on ultrasound. Unfortunately, at my 8 week scan, there was still just an empty sac so I miscarried. But keep positive. The little guy could have just been hiding or too small to show up yet. I read this happens often. Good luck!

When i went for my first ultrasound at 6 weeks it was the same, only sac. They check a week later and then we could see it and we got a heart beat :).

Stay positive. I'm 7 weeks and 4 days today. Your levels are the same as mine @ 6 weeks and 3 days. I know it's stressful.
