Should I be excited now??

Just came back from ob/gyn. I was supposed to get a call from the hospital this A.M to be induced but they didn't call...
Of course I was more than upset. Ob/gyn took a peeksie and said "oh, you're contracting, you're also 3 cm dilated, and at 75% effaced"....wasn't having pain, just the same Braxton Hicks things that I've been having for 2 months...but she said " I'll see you at the hospital tonight!"
She said that if I didn't show up that she would make sure that they called me to be induced tomorrow.
That's not the exciting part...she's been telling me she'll induce for a month or more already.
Just now I went to the washroom and there was some skin looking stuff when I wiped. Kinda like when your period starts, just not red blood, it was pink. Sorry if TMI.
There was also a small bit of what looked like it was the mucous plug at the same time.
I'm sitting here vibrating now...can barely keep my hands from shaking apart lol
Think this is it?? The Braxton Hicks contraction feeling things are getting to be 11 minutes apart now.
Most of the pain is across the middle, but some is in the groin area as well. Umm actually, the contractions are in the middle and the pain is below...lol
As I've said in past posts I've always been induced, so I have no idea how real labour should feel.
All I know is what I've been told...that when you are induced the contractions are longer and stronger and start off quicker,etc...does that mean that normal labour is not as painful?
Ya I know, I know....too many questions...but I'm just so thrilled at the thought of possibly having one baby (the last) the "normal way" that I'm just too worked up....trying to calm down but I can't. lol
Thanks for "hearing" me out.

Well that was a waste of time lol
They took a look below and said that things were going good...laid there awhile hooked to the machines...then the contractions stopped!!! GRRR!!!!
I asked if they would just start the drip then...I told them that I was on the "waiting list" to be induced anyway...they said "no".
I asked if they would break my water...again they said no..."how about a tweak?"...uh uh.
They said to go home and come back if my water broke,if I started bleeding really heavy,if the labour pains came back and were 10 minutes apart or closer,or if the baby didn't move for 10 hours....I am getting sooooooooo frustrated...looks like I'll be waiting until inducement day...whenever that is.
The boy will be college age before they bring him on lol.
Would it seriously have killed them to do something? I'm on the waiting list anyway...jeez.
Called my ob/gyn's office and told them what happened. They were sympathetic but said that the hospital has a set of rules to follow. I asked them how many women were on this "waiting list"...she told me that I was the only one from thier office...and there is only one other office in town...and that place isn't busy at all.
When we were up at the hospital I noticed that the maternity section was virtually empty. There were only two women up there...one had given birth yesterday and the other was on her way home. There were about 9 nurses walking around bored...so why not keep me and get things started?
Think I'll go into the city if anything starts up again...I know they're busy there, but I bet they would be willing to do something.
