I worked with a gal that smoked. She didn't gain much pregnancy weight & had a very difficult birthing experience. Her baby boy was born just less than 5lbs at 40 weeks. He immediately was placed in an incubator, had an irregular heart beat for the 1st 3 weeks of his life & also has breathing problems.

My friend smoked and her baby was born at 5 pounds and had some breathing problems. My suggestion would be to smoke as least as possible. It's better if you only smoke 3-4 cigarettes a day as opposed to a whole pack. Do your best honey and ask your Dr for advice

Its a gamble.
I knew a chick who chain smoked with all 4 of her babies. None of them have problems (yet) some things dont show up till later. My mom smoked with my bro and he was diagnosed with a less severe case of athsma at age 8 or 9
I didnt want to take that gamble with my child but yes it was hard to quit :/
If i remember correctly you may want to look this up, but your babies has a higher risk of getting respiratory problems if you smoke either more then half a pack or a pack a day. I cant remember!
So if you really cant quit, and by now your doctor probably will say to just keep smokingsince your baby is used to the nicotine so it could send you into labor. :/

I had a friend who smoked with her pregnancy,  and now her baby has breathing problems (asthma) and he is constantly sick. I don't think its a good idea,  all doctors tell you not to smoke. They have programs and websites to help. If you would like I can get some information on them for you.
