Spider bite

Hi everyone... I am 11 wks pregnant... 2 days ago I got what I thought was 2 mosquito bites but now look more like a spider bite... I dont know if I should worry? or just leave it alone... I have dark pink circles where the spider bit me ( size of a nickel)... Is there anything I can put on them so they go away?

First you need to determine what bit you.  Most spiders are harmless, some are poisonous.  If you are allergic to spider bites, or any other insect bites, you would be given an antibiotic.  If you are concerned, have your dr or even a pharmacist take a look.

You should contact Your doctor as soon as You can especially taking into account the fact You are pregnant. Anyone would be advised to see a doctor for that with or without being pregnant like Annie has said but You definately should be careful.

Yes, Annie is right. Normally a spider bite wouldn't be a big deal. I live in the woods and get bites all the time. But, the nickel sized red spots are a bit scary and I believe the brown recluse lives in your part of the country.

Contact your doc.  If it was a brown recluse bite, you should be treated whether or not you are pregnant.
