Stroller +Car seat Combo

Hey ladies,

I have been looking for a while now but at 32wks I feel like I have to hussle and get every thing ready for the baby.
Could you pls recommend me what are the best brands of Stroller and Car seats that are available.

Also, what features should I look for when I am purchasing one?

I am also not sure whether to buy a combo..or just go for Car seat and Stroller seperate. Any thoughts?

Thank you!!!

Hi, I don't know if there is an Isis maternity in your area but they have stroller schools (free) where they match the stroller with our lifestyle.  we went to one, it was great.  we decided to go with Graco car seat, base and stroiller was Citi Mini jogger

wow.. Thanks for the input ladies, This has been really helpful.
I feel like I have been slacking off and feeling anxious now.

This week end we are going to catch those sales people at Baby's R Us.

Yes, prettykitty.. I need to at least have a car seat just in case my little baby decides to come and see us early.. lol!

Thanks again.. Have a good week end!!  :)

go to babies r us and push them all.  we all have different ideas of what is a good stroller.  the stroller/car seat combos are great for this time of the year, getting out and walking is great . the one i bought a few years ago though wasnt the best.  it didnt turn well and was bulky.  i wasnt a fan.  it was an evenflo brand.

32 weeks is getting close, get that car seat in case you have your baby a bit earlier than expected, that was me! lol.  congrats!

The people at the registry desk at Babies R Us were very helpful to us when we were wondering about brands, they were able to tell us immediately which brand was most popular and why people liked it.  The Babies R Us site also has honest customer reviews.  Both things helped us narrow stuff down a lot.

Don't worry if all your shopping is not done before the baby comes.  You'll be in and out of the baby places a lot after the baby comes, if only to buy supplies, and there are plenty of opportunities to buy the bigger things then.  Plus, if you're registered at Babies R Us or elsewhere, people will buy things from the registry even after the baby is born.  You *do* need a carseat (preferably with the snap-out baby seat) before the baby is born, but you in fact don't need a stroller the day the baby is born.  I remember being amused to realize that I felt like I needed to hurry and buy the high chair, when of course an infant doesn't use one for quite a while.

I got the Chicco Cortina travel system.  This one is sold at Babies R Us and I love it!  I'm planning on purchasing their double stroller that is coming out next month for my daughter and our new baby coming in May.  I have put my Chicco through everything and it still rides like a dream.  I'm talking, gravel, dirt, grass, hills, corn fields, crazy stuff.  Plus I used it everyday, sometimes twice a day for 2 mile walks.  It's still going strong.  I liked the carseat too.  It's on the heavier side when it comes to carseats but not really a big deal.  One other thing, the stroller has a rotating canopy which is great for blocking the sun.  My friend has a stroller and the canopy only comes out so far and the rest of the time she had to use a blanket or something to keep the sun out of her son's face.  She complained everytime she had to do this because the blanket never stayed in place.   It's the only stroller I've ever had so I can't really comment on the others.   Good luck in your decision!
