Take a lamaz/birth class!!!

So I just had Ethan, today!!  We are cuddling in the hospital as we speak, but I just wanted to say to ALL MOMS, epidural or not TAKE A BIRTHING CLASS! I was induced twice. First one went sooo smooth, so we did it a second time. Except the second time we got stuck dialated to an 8 from 7pm to 8am and the nurses weren't sure Why so we decided at 8am we were going to do some pitocin to help us out. By this time I have already had an epidural and relaxed. So early in the a.m. while having extremely strong contractions my epidural wore off! The guy was in surgery and guess what?! I had NO CHOICE but to deliver WITHOUT any pain relief. My doctor came in and found out that Ethan had pinched my cervix between his head and my pelvic bone causing my cervix to swell and stopping him from coming out. So to avoid surgery my doctor stuck a vaccum in there and I was in SO MUCH PAIN! I DELIVERED NATURAL holy moley it was something I never want to experience again.. but anyways my doc office kept telling me you don't need Lamaze if your getting an epidural. But things happen and I wish I had taken a class to prepare myself for the unexpected. You too should be prepared.

Good advice! I'm having a planned c section but this looks like a good idea.

It was definitely an experience!  But Lamaze is a good idea for every mom. The pain can get unbearable
