Trying at 37

I recently started trying to conceive with my husband about a month ago. I have three children and my oldest is 15 .  My last period was Nov 16 and oddly only lasted four instead of 5days.  My CM is white and creamy like lotion, and I have slight abdominal cramping.  I'm not due for mines till Dec 15th (so the charts say.)  I'm wondering if I could be pregnant? And how much longer should I wait to take a HPT or because of my age should I take a blood test?

I'd probably say you're not pregnant for the last month, seeing as though you still got a period, even if it was one day shorter. But, it sounds as though you could be ovulating right now (going by your discharge description) and the only way to know if you are pregnant is to wait to see if your period arrives by the 15th and do a pregnancy test.
