Probably got sick of the responses. I personally was discusted, but I'm sorry...You can't come onto a forum like this one and ask a question like that and expect NOT to get negative feedback. I just really hope that baby is going to be ok.

I missed the whole thing, but I can see it has been deleted (Pam and I can see deleted posts).  She couldn't have done it, so the mods must have.  It was getting pretty argumentative, so they do that when that happens.  Pam and I can delete posts as well, but I never have and I don't think Pam has either.

Bummer. I wanted to see the responses. I didn't have a chance to check back after I wrote. I wasn't argumentative with her at all, I don't think.

I just took another look and it was in fact deleted by one of the moderators.  I don't think you were argumentative...that was probably the wrong word to use. No one was really.  It's just one of those topics that invokes strong emotions in others...and rightly so.  It's a tough one.  We all want to give good advice and info, but it makes us angry.  Whenever the mods see anything like that that could potentially get ugly, they tend to delete it.  You've probably seen on some of the other forums there have been some nasty arguments, so they try to avoid it and keep the forums peaceful.

Tricia,  There is a thread on the "addiction substance abuse" forum, posted by the same girl EmmyJJLove called "Vicodin and Pregnant".

I think a lot of times too they are posting for themselves but say they are "asking" for their friends and get really upset.

You're right.  They are most always one in the same.

I missed the post....while i don't know the circumstances....I know ob/gyns are really careful about letting pregnant ladies use vicodin.....my ob/gyn prescribed it for my migraines (500 mg a day/ for no more than 2 days striaght).....any drug is addictive and can be harmful.....
moderators do their job delting stuff but incase the writer ever looks i just want to say I wish her/her friend the best......consult with a doctor.....and remeber you are never alone.....someone is always there for support.....

I missed the post too but saw the above post that says it is in the addiction forum now so that is much different than taking vicodin for other purposes.

For what its worth, I had kidney stones with my first pregnancy and my OB prescribed me vicodin in case the symptoms started up. When I was in the hospital, they gave me morphine and I asked if it was safe for the baby if I took morphine and/or the vicodin and they said yes that the drugs do not cross into the placenta. I am sure they would not say to take it everyday though. I also looked it up in my Mayo Clinic Guide to Pregnancy and it also stated it does not cross the placenta.
