When can i get pregnant again after m/c

Just lost my baby on christmas day . im told my hcg levels are going down, when can i resume a normsl life. i mean sex , and trying for a baby, and getting my first period?

Hi, I had a recent m/c also and an emergency D&C on Sun. Dec 23rd. All the doctors I have spoken to have advised me to wait at least 2 months before TTC again. Supposedly the endometrium lining of the uterus needs to thicken again or perhaps another m/c could accur. Haven't gotten my period yet though, unsure when that will happen.

As far as sexual activity, there was no bleeding following the D&C so my fiance' and I waited a week and a half. It wasn't the best and there was some bleeding afterwards so I would advise waiting till you speak with your doctor and see what he or she says.

I'm so sorry for your loss. How far along were you?? I had a natural miscarriage on Nov. 18th at a little under 6 weeks. AF vistied on Dec.18th and I Ov on New Years Day and TTC. I.ve heard it ok to ttc after 1 cycle if the miscarriage was natural and early....Good Luck and keep us posted.

True! After an early natural MC you can start the same cycle though my doctor told me that it's not said that you will ovulate that cycle because of the hormon level in your blood.
After a D&C you should wait 1-3 cycles.

I had a m/c in july and got pg again before I had a next period... I am now 19w pg!!  good luck

So I just miscarried on New Years day.  When I was at the hospital I saw this advertisment for a med that you can take so you dont need to wait and try sooner.  But I cant remember the name.  Has anyone seen that advertisment or heard of it?  It was posted right in the hospital.

Hi, sorry for you loss.  I had a m/c on Dec.8th and it was natural.  My levels dropped within a week and a half to -0.  My doctor told me that I could wait to TTC after I get my period and I could have sex after I stopped bleeding...my husband and i did just that.  She also said if I get pregnant right after it is fine.  What my doctor said was they want you to wait so they know your exact due date but they can also tell my u/s.  She also said...your body will know when it's time to get pg again.

I  natural m/c on Dec 27th, after waiting a week from when we had the u/s and didn't see the h/b. I waited a week to see if my body would do it naturally and was going to call that day for a d&c, but didn't have to. My doc told me that I only had to wait one cycle before ttc again. He said they used to have you wait three...but not anymore (we are also doing FET, so I do take meds to help w/ my lining, so not sure on that aspect of it all).

I just had a miscarriage on Jan. 4th at 6 weeks a week before my daughters 2nd birthday.  This is my second pregnancy so I was really hurt and shocked when it happened.  Just wondering when I can start trying again?  As well, I have been talking with people at my work and we work in an old building with air quality issues.  There have been at least 8 miscarriages in the past 2 years. Three people have had babies though.  Should I be concerned about this?  or is it a coincidence?

I had a miscarrage (miscarriage) in may I was 3 months pregnant and to make it worse I had an imcomlpete miscarrage (miscarriage) so ended up suffering for 3 weeks before i had d&c but on the up side i fell pregnant again after my first cycle in july and am now 25 weeks pregnant, this was my 2nd pregnancy as well, you will look for answers every where, i still do even now.
