"Your dream will come true when you least expect it."

I just wanted to share a little story with all of you.

Last night, I was eating dinner, reading the Medhelp posts and then talking with a friend over the phone.  We were talking about fertility and as I was explaining to her all the complications that can get in the way of a woman becoming pregnant I was starting to feel really down.  I hung up the phone and thought.  "Wow, it's not gonna happen for you. There are just so many obstacles and you are kidding yourself by thinking you can make this happen. It's just not in the cards for you."

Well you can imagine I was getting myself very depressed.  I walked into the kitchen feeling empty and hopeless.  Started to clean up the counter from my dinner.   (I was eating Chinese food).  I said to myself "Just open up the fortune cookie.  Maybe it'll have some words of hope for you.  Nah.......that is so hokey.  Fortune cookies are ridiculous.  Just open it DUMMY!  Well, OK.  I suppose it couldn't hurt."   (this was my inner dialogue) lol.

So I cautiously unwrapped the cookie,  broke it apart, pulled out the fortune.  Looked at my dog who was eyeing me for the cookie,  tossed him the cookie and read my fortune.  It read:

"Your dream will come true when you least expect it."

OK.  I got chills.  It was as if God had just spoken to me telling me my future. L.O.L!

I thought you might get a laugh, a smile and perhaps some encouragment from my story and fortune.  Hope it helps keep your dream alive!

Lisa

I'm not the most religious woman (well, maybe in my own way and especially after having a kid), but I KNOW there is more to it than a piece of paper!

That's great.  I too had a fortune cookie experience that I haven't shared with anyone but DH, who thinks I'm nuts.

The day before I found out I was preg after 10 m/cs in a row (I'm now almost 18w), I had a fortune cooke that said something like "Your journey has been a difficult one but will be rewarding."

A few days later, when I was expecting my beta results, I again pigged out on Chinese food and got a fortune that said "This could be one of the best days of your life" or something to that effect.  I later found out the beta had doubled for once, and the numbers looked awsome.

I saved them both.
