You can still talk on this board even if you aren't pregnant. I had no symptoms, good luck!

WOW! would u suggest a pg test every month just in case cus i heard the supplements can be bad for the baby if u are prego. i just dont know if i can stand to see another BFN

by shesherm, Dec 18, 2007 11:47AM

if you have been ttc for 3 years I think you should talk to the doctor about infertility and ways to help... good luck

by gokuangel, Dec 18, 2007 02:14PM
yeah the supplements are safe in the recommended doses but just alot of med it says do not use if pregnant. i would go to the dr if i could afford it but i dont have insurance anymore and if i did i would need to find a new dr cus the one i had bk then he was such a jerk last time to me i i dont want to see him again.

do you temp to predict ovulation?

by gokuangel, Dec 18, 2007 02:53PM
i havent tried it in a while i get so confused over that stuff i just dont where to start. all i know is my temp is always around 97. something but thats my problem i think i dont think that i ovulate cus i read if u used to take the depo shot then u will not ovulate thats why i taking vitex to hopefully render that.

by melimeli, Dec 18, 2007 02:55PM
are you off the depo shot?  you cant be ttc taking birth control...  when is the last time you took it?  do you still get af?

by gokuangel, Dec 18, 2007 03:12PM
oh yeah i been off depo since august 2003!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  thats when i got my last shot anyway,it took me 7 months to have AF after that but i do get them on time now every 25 days but only thing is they are only 2 or 3 days long and i dont  know if thats ok my last dr said it was but im not sure.

by melimeli, Dec 18, 2007 03:34PM
mmmm have you tried ov predictor kits?

by gokuangel, Dec 18, 2007 03:38PM
not in long time  one of the girls mentioned that as well maybe since i am taking the vitex it will show up this time i think i will buy some more when i go to the store next time.

by Lastminutemama, Dec 18, 2007 05:18PM
If you take Vitex, for sure it will help you to ovulate. A short visit of AF like you mentioned 2-3 days is not a problem.

by gokuangel, Dec 18, 2007 05:36PM
really?have u heard things about it? all the fertility pills i have seen have vitex in them and say that it does increase ur chances. well thats cool bout AF im glad my dr said it was ok but i kept thinking it wasnt cus every1 i know that has kids say their AF is 5 days long.

What supplementation are you taking? I see a naturopath regularly and there is a laundry list of herbals that you need to be careful not to take for the safety of the baby. You're young, but have you had your progesterone levels checked?

by LJ307, Dec 18, 2007 11:21PM
How old are you?   25 days is a short cycle and 2 - 3 days is a short period.  I would suggest you have your FSH, LH and progesterone levels checked.  I know seeing a dr. is expensive, but you'll need to start seeing one if you get pregnant so you might as well get a head start and get yourself checked out to see what the deal is.
Good luck.

there is a laundry list of herbals that you need to be careful: true, but when you take Vitex in a good dosis it's OK! I took a vitamin supplement which also contains Vitex and I got pregnant in the 2nd month I was using it.

Hi gokuangel! I think many of the herbal supplements are fine while TTC, but I think the problem is that some of them you're not suppose to take after you ovulate. So I think you're best bet is to either use OPKs or chart your temperatures (preferably both), so that you know when you ovulate and can stop taking some of the supplements at that time. Good luck!

...oh and I usually have about two-three days of regular flow, and then a couple of days of spotting, so three days should be OK :-)
