I never used my changing table with my last. We have an armoire in the baby room (it's actually a computer armoire w/ a pull out ledge) that I'm going to use as my changing station.

...who knows, maybe the little guy will grow up to be a computer nerd :D-

Meli--- I am 35 weeks and 2 days today!!!!! I can't hardly believe it girl!!! =)))) I feel like this is so surreal... I cannot wait to step in that delivery room (full of fear and excitement!) and finally get to meet her! but at the same time, I see my belly now and feel her little heel diggin in my bone and think 'man! i'm gonna miss this SOOOO much!!!'

So, im just trying to hang in there girl, and enjoy this last couple of weeks as much as i can! =)

How far along are you?!?!?! can't wait to see pics of lil' Pari!!!!!!
How's daddy handling the situation? is he developing his paternity instincts?? I think dh is now.... he's working his butt off to get the room ready! =) making this huge closet for 'his lil' princess' because 'she's a girl, and girls, no matter how little, they need room for their girlie stuff' he says... aweeeee!!! =')

I wouldn't get the changing table.  My pack and play has one and I was always changing DS and DD on a portable changing pad on the floor, couch, bed etc.

Didn't have a changing table w/my other babies so I didn't buy one for Noah either although this time we did what Hannah did - use his dresser w/a contour pad to change him.  that's the plan anyway - we'll have to see when the time comes.....

I change my guy in his crib, I can turn my back and he can't get into too much trouble! No rolling off onto the floor. It was my moms suggestion, gotta love a mom with 6 kids worth of experence!

I'm like brown eyes, I am getting the pack n play with the changing attachment, but if it did not come with the changing attachment, I would not go out and buy one. I never had one with any of my kids. I changed them in whatever room I was in. No need to make a special trip to the nursery just to change the baby on the "Changing table."

Changing pads work just as well and travel well also. :-)

I didn't find a changing table that useful. As soon as baby starts to roll, he or she will try to roll right off of it, and even with a railing, they can do some amazing things!!!

I just used changing pads and changed the baby wherever.

With my dd I just bought the long dresser and put the changing pad on top.  I will definitely to that again.  I just felt like money spent on an actual changing table was a waste for us considering that is pretty much all it can be used for.  I loved my pack n play changing table in our living room and our bedroom when she was little and wasn't sleeping in her room yet.

i have waterproof pads i put on the bed, couch, floor.  as many times as babys are changed i do it where i am at the time.  in my living room i have a great wicker basket under the coffee table that i keep wipes, diapers, cream, nail clippers, thermometer , saline suction bulb.  my house isnt that big but when you are doing a million things at once and tired i totally believe in doing what is easiest lol.  with my son i had a 3 drawer dresser that on one side is a changing table then you flip it and the drawers and its now a dresser.  he is almost 10 and still has it was a great piece of furniture.

i use the dresser with the changing pad ontop of it so it is just like a changing table and i love it. i use it ALL the time and don't know hoe i would get a long without it.  All his stuff is right there. and we usually play together while on the table also. i love it!!

We have a dresser that is also meant to be used as a changing area with a contoured changing pad on top. That way the piece can be used as just a dresser whenever we'll finally be out of the diaper stages. Love it.

Same here. I'm going to get the changing pad.  Less expensive.  I really think changing tables are a waste of money..but that's just me.  :)

well girl, to be quite honest, i just bought the changing pad, (with the belt) and will use that one on a desk I have upstairs to change her... and maybe get anotherone, or use that same one (carry it downstairs?? might be a pain...) for a dresser she will have... so, i don't think i'll need a changing table.... I think you can just change them just about anywhere.... it's like, one of those 'gadgets' that you don't necessarily have to have?? ;)
