Anyone ever been fired for being on bed rest?
Because the fired you for a medical condition you should be able to get unemployment
You can't get fired in America but if you are gone to long you "lose your position".
Nope where I live they have the right to fire you for whatever reason they want & I've been on bed rest for over 3 months. I've worked there for a long time but I just have the feeling when I go back after my six weeks they're going to say they don't need me anymore.
No, that's illegal where I'm at :-( I was on bed rest from 28wks last pregnancy and luckily I was able to negotiate with my work to use up all my sick leave before starting maternity leave early. Are there any discrimination authorities where you're at that cover pregnancy? Might want to look into it.
