being induced today!

I'm a little nervous...don't know why, I've been thru this 3 other times, but I'm being induced today, I'm so excited to finally meet my little man. Maybe it's just anticipation...prayers that everything goes uncomplicated and our little man is very healthy.

The doc told us out of the 7 deliveries he had, mine was the easiest and healthiest...and the nurses loved us, they were sad to see us go :)

While we were scheduled to be induced that day, they bumped us and said possibly the next day, well the little man thought "oh heck no, I'm coming today" no more than 30 mins go by and I felt a gush of fluids 2-3 times I stood up, and started feeling crampy, at first didn't think anything of it after the first time, but then it happened 2 more times and I just happened to have ph strips and tested the ph of the fluid and it was in the range for amniotic fluid so I called the docs office and then went into labor and delivery to be officially tested for leaking and sure enough my water had broke...i was admitted, but started pitocin because my contractions weren't consistent. Started out at 3cm, jumped to 5cm in an hour, nurse checked me at 5:30 I was at 6cm, then at 6:20 I started feeling a bit of pressure in my bum and so my husband went to grab a nurse to check me and sure enough I was fully dilated (if I had waited ant longer to fetch the nurse I would've had my baby without them) the nurse told me "don't cough, sneeze or throw up, baby is right there" doctor came in and about 3 pushes later he was born @6:40pm 6lbs 4.4pz, 19.5in long...it took them longer to set up than it did for me to push him out.
