bleeding.

Is bleeding at 7 weeks a sure sign of miscarriage?   My wife noticed brown blood after she used the loo.  A couple of hours later it was red and the the flow was similar to her early period. We went to the Dr and had an internal scan but she says its too early to detect a heart beat. We have to go back in 10 days for another scan.   The bleeding has stopped now but I've resigned myself to bad news.

Had a scan at our IVF clinic today.   We could see 2 heart beats so we are over the moon.   Nerves are wrecked though lol.

Not always a bad sign. During my first pregnancy I had bleeding at 8 weeks. After an ultrasound confirmed baby was alright I was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection.

It could be implantation bleeding. I experienced this when pregnant with my daughter but not that I noticed with this pregnancy. When I asked the dr. about it, they told me this is quite normal. Don't give up hope.

No, it's not. Brown blood is common early in pregnancy. The red blood could be from a clot that released, hence the brown blood first.  It's true it could be too early to hear a heart beat, so try to stay positive. I've heard many women experience this early and still had a healthy pregnancy. Good luck!
