Thank you ladies. I appreciate it.
^^Exactly. I also heard that eating oatmeal helps with ur milk supply, not sure if it's all true, but worth trying.
It doesn't feel any different nursing a boy or girl. A baby is a baby.
I nursed both my son and daughter. My son was a bit harder he would latch on but I had to constantly adjust his mouth. My daughter as soin as she was born she latched on like a pro with no problems at all. Even the nurse was surprised.
I had a lactation person for both babies. My milk never came in. They would only get a total of 1 ounce and that was nursing on both sides. They had me on reglen (spelling) to try and produce but never happened. They both latched very well. The lactation person at hospital that I went to several times said that my milk just would not come in.
I had a hospital grade breast pump for second baby since he was early and still not enough milk. The most milk I could get was 2 oz. Just didn't work.
I am planning on bringing my pump to hospital with me and after nursing pump very time then I and ml so want them to put me on the raglan immediately. Hopefully this will help with supply.
My actual question was does it feel different to breast feed a girl as opposed to feeding a boy. I was fine with attempting to breast feed both boys a little apprehensive about it being a girl.
The main reason why u were unsuccessful at breastfeeding is because baby never latched on correctly. When that happens ur breasts won't produce an adequate supply of milk sustain baby's nutrional needs. It had nothing to do with baby being a boy or girl, it's still a baby. It takes practice the first few times doing it, but once they latch on, then ur breasts will get stimulated to keep producing milk. I breastfed my son successfully for 10 mos. A lactation consultant came to help me when we were in the hospital and we eventually got better at breastfeeding. Then my son became a pro. I hope this helps..
