cervical length at 16 weeks

I just went to the doctor and my cervic measures 3.5 cm at 16 weeks.  I have had contractions since 6 weeks.  Doesn't this seem too short for 16 weeks?

Normal cervical length (no effacement, no dilation also known as long and hard as my OB puts it) is 3.5 - 4 cm, so yours is right where it should be.
