how can you have a misscarrige when your cervix didnot open

I had 2 m/c where my cervix didn't open.  One I was spotting, but in the pelvic exam, my cervix was closed.  The other there was no spotting or anything.  Its called a missed m/c.  They were at 10 and 8 weeks, and it happens that way sometimes.  You can either wait it out and it will pass naturally, or opt for a D&C.  I did the latter.  If this is in fact something you are currently going through, please know that as Lisa said, you are in the right place for support.

It depends on how far you are.  The earlier the less your cervix needs to open..

Hi,
I had 2 m/c and with the first one I started spotting and had an u/s which revealed my baby's heart and stopped and it had stopped growing.  All of this happened with my cervix closed.  It takes time for the body to work its self out.
I am so sorry you have to go through this.  I hope it helps to know that most of us on this forum know how you are feeling and are here if you need any comfort.
