I have an awful cold and have developed a cough now.  Is there anything other than paracetamol I can take?

Propolis lozenges or a teaspoon of manuka honey in hot water. You should be able to get that in UK. Stops the cough and is great on a sore throat and pregnancy safe. Be careful if you have bee allergies though. Manuka has a lot more healing properties than other varieties of honey and is therefore a little more expensive but totally worth having a jar in the cupboard.

From the uk. Still dying of this awful cold. Got plenty of fresh fruit in and drinking lots but really not helping! Hopefully it'll pass very soon. Thanks ladies for your advice.

If u can manage a trip to the store....stock up on blueberries.. Oranges.. Lemons....strawberries etc and drink as much water with lemon as u can... The paracetamol will help with pain but u need to get as many things in u to fight the bug off to get rid of it... Hope u feel better soon x

May I ask where you are from? We don't have paracetamol here in the U.S. Only acetaminophen (Tylenol).

My Dr recommended Tylenol Cold or Sudafed Cold. As long as it's Acetomenaphin based, she said was ok (I think even a basic Robitussin is. Have to look at the label though). Feel better :)
