dialated... how long will it be for labor?

how long did you guys have to wait for Labor.. once you started dialating? If I remember right.. I think I started dialating and a week later my water broke???  ugh.. been to long for me to remember for sure.

with ds, at dr appointment, was 2 centimeters, gave birth one week later to the day, the dr broke my water at the hospital.

Everyone is different honey.  I went into labor, having contractions that weren't stopping so they had to do my c-section and I wasn't dialated but a fingertip.  I don't dialate very fast and am usually in hard labor before I even start dialating.  Maybe that is why all my children have been delivered by c-section.

I was dilated 1.5 cm when she checked me on April 29th..she hasn't checked me since then because she doesn't want to dilate me further by going in there!  So it's been 2 weeks and no labor yet..can't wait though!  She did tell me that she didn't think I'd make it to my due date since I was already dilated at 34 weeks..  *fingers crossed*    :)

So Tennessee, I'm with you, I'd really like to know how much longer I can be dilated before I go into labor!  Wonder if I'm still at 1.5cm or did I dilate more..???

Everyone is different and every pregnancy is different. I walked around for several weeks at 2 cm and my water never broke on its own with my first baby. 2nd baby I was at 2 cm for about a week before my water broke. Guess that's all part of the big surprise!   As of Tuesday afternoon, I was at 2 cm with my due date 9 days away.  (38w5d)

I was 2cm for about a week and a half, then they induced because i was overdue.

oh wow... guess I dont need to walk on egg shells...I want her to bake another week and then have her..well thats my plan. but now I guess I wont need to worry about having her any day.. I konw.. you just never know... but just wondering the odds..

yea.. sorry mell.. I posted that somewhere else.. yesterday I was 2cm.. the week prior.. nothing.. no thinning...  so maybe I got a good week to go.

ahhh I go in on tuesday I hope I have dilated some.. they say if I am dilated a little they can break my water to bring on labor...
