Furthest thing from my mind is my make up. With my first I had no make up and just my basic ponytail and in all my pictures I look fine. I look super happy and content once she arrived and don't want to take focus away from my baby for how I look.

My mother when she realized she was in labor with me took a shower did hair and makeup before she would even consider going to the hospital.

My sister is a nurse and she asked me  to please shave down there. I told her I cant even see it anymore. So She said no excuse ask your husband to do it. :/ She said nurses wont said anything in front of you but yeah they will talk about you. I really don't care what others think anyway. So I told her I wont be the first not the last they will see like that.

I wanna get a manicure and pedicure as a treat for myself, but as for the rest of it, I might brush my hair. .... maybe lol.  I figure no matter what I do, after pushing out a baby I'll look like I was hit by a Mac truck. Makeup isn't something I bother with on a day to day basis, I hate how it feels on my face, and I chew off lipgloss or lipstick anyway.  My post delivery photos will just have to show the with out me, and our beautiful little baby. He'll steal the show anyway, people will be looking at him, not me anyway.

Can I just say when you all go into Labour getting dolled up will be the furthest thing from your mind.Yes I understand it's nice to look good in Labour but if you in Labour for a long time the make - up will be off by then anyway. Take it from someone that had been in Labour 8 times.

I love the idea but im not too worried about it. I think my husband would think I were nuts to stop and worry about makeup lol. Im sure the look of love on my face will be enough. We'll see how I feel after. Ill prob be ready for that the next day.

In the pictures from my son's hospital shoot (two days old) I was in maternity yoga pants and a flannel pajama shirt that I forgot I hadn't buttoned up when the photographer walked in the door. I wasn't wearing a stitch of makeup and don't remember whether or not I'd brushed my hair. But I love those pictures. I look pretty tired but over the moon in love and blissfully happy. My tiny little boy was so new and perfect and beautiful and the last thing I was going to worry about was eyeliner or the perfect manicure. Not even on my radar.

I feel the same! With my first I was so ugly! And I look back on pics and lol just felt ugly. So with my second I tried to put dome foundation and mascara and eyeliner on and mousse in my hair. So I felt better. So with this one in definitely gonna try and look nice

I plan on getting pampered, but I'm not one to wear makeup anyway, people would look at me strangely if I was to put it on lol

Y not it's both of your day the baby will already come out fabolous so y mom can't take a brush to her hair. I most certainly am getting pampered a week before I go this has been a trying 9 months or 42 weeks. Good job mothers YOU deserve it n don't let no one tell you different.  :)

It was the furthest thing from my mind. I was sweaty & looked like crap, I don't think waterproof mascara is going to fix it. I get regular nails & waxing so that will be it for me :) I won't be worrying about my hair or make up this time around either. Kudos to you all who have the energy though haha

Us csection mums don't get the option, moisturiser let alone makeup is not permitted, can't even have nail polish on.. But I'll blow dry my hair and run the straightener over it so at least my hair will feel nice! And I'll get at least a g-string wax before hand too.

I plan on looking good too. I'm getting an epidural this time so I can be relaxed. Why not look good for these pics. This is my last child btw.

Not to mention my hubbys insane boss came to the hospital room unannounced!! We did not want any visitors and this chick had the nerve to show up without our permission. She found us by wondering around...I was so upset...upset wasn't the word. It was a vulnerable moment and she out of all people ruined it. And guess what she did!!?? She went back to my husband s unit and told everyone that I'd didn't even looked like I had a kid! At least I was looking 90% cute bc my 21 month old was rough. Despite all of that I get dolled up for a "me time" thing.

You are welcome!! With my daughter, my nurse said cute toes lol. I just don't want to look like craps of course it's all about my baby son too...it's just that I hardly do anything for myself these days :( my husband and I are active duty, I have a 3 yr old and a 21 month old I never find time for myself :(

I probably won't give two woots what I look like during delivery. Getting my little baby boy here is my only concern.  Most I'll do is shave my legs and down There. Other than that, I'm sure the doctors and nurses have seen women in all shapes and forms during delivery. I don't think they will care of I'm wearing makeup or not.

Lol...I so got dolled up for my first delivery and was able to take some camera ready mommy fab pictures afterwards. ..in pain and all...lol..I'm glad I did it. I definitely plan on doing a repeat for my February birth....it made me feel great despite the way my body felt post 19 hrs of labor that concluded in a c section.

Congrats on baby and enjoy the pre labor dolled up pampering...there's nothing like looking and feeling fabulous no matter the occasion.

Nope, I gave two craps about what I looked like. I was focused on labor and delivery. You look like hades afterward anyway. I waited until the next day when we were having visitors.

I had just gotten a pedicure a couple days before giving birth. That was the best decision. Lol so many nurses are down my your feet. I got tons of complements.

I will probably be doing the same thing.  A girl has to look & feel good even in the delivery room.
