Hello everyone....I am new to the community, I am 16 wks pregnant, I had an ablation done in Nov 06, was under the impression I wouldn't be able to conceive again (which was fine, I have 3 beautiful children). I am engaged to be married in april, and in Jan discovered that we are pregnant!!! wow...what a shockAcute respiratory distress syndrome Cardiogenic shock Electroconvulsive therapy Hepatic ischemia Hypoglycemia Hypovolemic shock Lithotripsy Shock Toxic shock syndrome! I am so very excited...yet, worried..although my Doctors feel I have nothing to be concerned about, They have seen this before! Anyone else experience this?? Add to this the fact that I am 36 years old...WOW...just boggling to the mind!I know that I had alot of trouble finding information on the internet about pregnancy and ablation, so I thought I would post and keep everyone up to date!
I had an eblation done like 4 years ago and ended up pregnant last year. It was not a viable pregnancy. I am once again pregnant. How likely is that to happen to a person? If the 1st one wasn't viable does that increase the chances that this is also not a viable pregnancy? Has anyone had that happen before?
I am being EXTREMELY careful...although, with an ablation the danger is in the placenta not growing. So far, everything is well. I will continue to have an u/s at every dr's appointment to make sure the placenta is growing . I know things can go wrong, however, I also know this is a blessing and I am not going to stress about things that I can't control. I have placed it in a higher power and I trust that he will take care of it! My doctor now seems to feel everything will go just fine, yet, he's making sure all the proper precautions are taken as well.
