getting funny looks about being pregnant

So ur starting to show.  Does anyone else feel like they get funny looks cuz  they're pregnant?  Like, "oh she's been getting it on!". My co-worker and I were talking about that and she told me jokingly that I been riding the pony non-stop, and I told her, I feel like I get those looks!  Am I the only one who feels this way?  Cuz everywhere I go ppl just look at my growing belly and I can't help but think that's what they're thinking..lol.

I haven't noticed funny looks, but I have gotten a lot more comments from strangers in the public, than w my last two pregnancies. People are not rude or anything, but they just seem much more willing to bring up my baby bump and ask unsolicited questions than they have been in the past. I don't sense that they make assumptions about my sex life; I mean of course I've been having sex, but who doesn't? I don't feel offended, just that people seem to be more bold about bringing it up.

I personally think it's funny whatever ppl may be thinking as I only know what's going on in my own life.

There was a rather dark period in my life when we were ttc our first...after 3years of trying and 3mc, I couldn't look at pregnant women without jealousy and bitterness and if the woman looked more like a teen than someone my age, it was worse. At times a stranger's pregnant belly could reduce me to angry tears.

You can't know what anyone else is feeling or what might be behind the stares, so it's best to ignore it if you can.

When you're not pregnant and want to be, everyone else seems to have a bump.  Now I see bumps and compare them to my own.
There's such an obesity epidemic that I often looked around at 20 weeks and thought- people might just think I'm fat as lots of non pregnant younger women had essentially a beer belly.  I am glad now I am unmistakably pregnant and no one here looks for rings on fingers (except to look at bling engagement rings!)

I guess I've never noticed because I don't care.  I'm 38, it was time,  it was planned. I wanted a child before my ovaries blew up.    You're not doing anything wrong whether you're married or not.

People always think that I got pregnant accidentally!! They would say: "was it an accident?", "was it planned? " It was the same with my 3rd baby...

Honestly I think it is an age thing.. like don't that woman realize she is too old to be having babies.  Or oh my goodness is she really having a baby....

@ mrp, that was me yesterday.  I took my ring off cuz I was at the pool and forgot to put it back on.  Oh the stares of another knocked up unmarried woman or I wonder what she's been up to...Lol.

I know what you mean. Especially not being able to wear my wedding ring, you get those judgemental looks. Oh well! It's only temporary!

Im with ShannyO. I used to look because i loved seeing those round bellies full of life and love. Im 35 and my husband and I are completly in love with this baby. I dont mind if they stare but occasionally i have men come up and ask me questions or joke. I think im more surprised that men say more things than women. But other than that im happy and proud of my baby bump :)

I could careless what people think. I'm 35 years old & married. I'm not a teenager anymore. The only thing I would say that bothers me is I can't wear my wedding ring anymore & sometimes people will look at my tummy & then look at my ring finger & not see a ring & sometimes give me a look, but I'm over now. I know my story & could careless about judgemental people who don't know me & will probably never see me again. I'm over the moon about my pregnancy & no one will take that from me.
I also used to look at pregnant woman & think how cute they looked & wondered if one day I would be pregnant.

Maybe they are envious. I know I was always looking when I would see a pregnant woman. But I was looking for a different reason. I would think about the baby I lost and wish I was able to feel it kicking. You never know what people are thinking.

Yes people at church are nosy. I'm not doing nothing bad I'm married so I don't get those 'stares.'

How about all the questions from complete strangers! How long do you have left? What are you having? Can I touch your belly? Etc, etc

I'm 36 weeks and people have been giving me looks since early on. Most of the time they smile but other times they look at me like they've never seen a pregnant lady before. Lol it's something you just gotta deal with I suppose.
