Hi Girls,
Went in for another beta series today and I don't know what to think of it!! I am scared to deathDiscussing death with children Gangrene Liver cell death Loss of a child - resources Sudden infant death syndrome at this point. My HCG levels are more then doubling (last week 93.35~~ This week 1793.00) but my progesterone levels are dropping dramatically (last week 32.36~~ this week 18.23). I am scared that I am doomed for another MC!! ='-( !!!!!! Come on.. I need some inspiration!! Anyone have levels drop like this and it come out okay in the end??
Patty
Wow! Your HCG more than doubled -- twins maybe?? That's great news! With your progesterone dropping a bit, I bet the Dr. will start you on some progesterone to help that situation. I think its commonCommon cold for older womenWomen's way to need a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys boost in the progesterone. Yours isn't really that low though. Good luck. I go in for my 2nd beta today -- I hope it rockets up like yours did.
Oh, please, you may have just a few months on me. If I went to the 35 & under I'd be the grandmother! Did you ever get a hold of your Dr.? If not, 1 day I don't think will matter. You will see them tomorrow. These have to be sticky beans for us!!
They never have called back. GRR So I guess I will be there brightBright beginnings and early in the morning. My appointment is at 9:15 and I drop my son off at the bus stop at 8:15 and I am headed there! I know these have to be sticky beans. We deserve it!! I told Scott (my DH) that I didn't know if we were going to have 2 babies, man this one is driving me insane!! WORRY WORRY WORRY!! I'm surprised I still have some brown hair left! or any hair for that matter!
No patty, my appt was yesterday. I just gave blood that's it. Today I call to get my #'s, this afternoon, (biting fingernails), ughh, can't wait to hear about your appt!! It's 9 right now, I just know you're sitting in that COLD office patiently waiting your turn......
Hi Kelly,
He said that he really isn't worried about the progesterone level dropping, because I am so early, anything above 12 is relatively good and safe. I go back Tuesday morning for another beta series, he said if it drops close to 12 then he will put me on something. And I have an Ultrasound scheduled for 1:45 Tuesday afternoon. I'm really going to try and not worry. Hubby and I are going to an Ohio State Football game tomorrow and I'm going to try and enjoy my time. What else can I do right?.. let me know what your numbers come out to be... I'm waiting!!
Glad things are going good. Sure would be nice for the doc to give you progesterone now and not wait just for your peace of mind, but who am i???? certainly no expert! guess he feels confident about it!
If you remember I have had somewhat low progesterone since the beginning. 15 (14dpo), 20(6 weeks I think). I kind of insisted on prometrium because of all the literature about low progesterone at my age. He put me on 100mg, and then increased to 200 when he got the number 20. In a weeks time it went to 27, still low he said (9 weeks), but nothing to really worry about at this point. I can only hope it keeps increasing. Kahlian had great success with supplements, I would insist on them if I were you. It can't hurt anything, dropping that much would worry me to death. Enjoy your weekend and try not to worry too much :)
Hi. I am 38 and 6w2d pregnant. I too have rising HCG levels but my progesterone has gone from 17.1 to 13.1 I have had 2 previous MC. The doctor put me on the progesterone pills. I go back next Tues. Praying it helps the numbers go back up.
