Hi there

Just came back from having another ultrasound about an hour ago, what a difference a few days can make .They found a fetal pole and the heartbeat which is very reassuring. I can't believe it because on Friday they couldn't see anything and today there it was, clearly obvious. The u/s technician told me that once they detect a fetal pole and heartbeat there is a 80-90% chance of the pregnancy continuing as a viable one (fingers crossed). would that be right do you think?.

Good for you, I have heard that it is a little higher like,96% or more but maybe that depends on what the heart rate was  and other things,like passed m/s not sure but I am happy that you got a heart beat!!!! best wishes

Yay!!!  And you are so right.  At that stage it's incredible how quickly things can change.  I am so happy for you. And yes, those stats are accurate.  Getting a fetal heartbeat is a huge milestone.  Your chances of miscarriage just dropped dramatically!!  Congratulations, I am so happy for you!  Amanda

Fantastic!  The heartbeat is apparently one of the most important milestones.  Now it's just more waiting.  Geez, and I thought the 2ww was stressful!  Have a great day!

Thank you Lord for such wonderful news to my ears:-)  I sent you a note asking if you had seen a doctor, but I hadn't read your post.  I am sooooo happy for you, and the little beam that's growing inside.  Best Wishes your entire nine months.
