help. i'm in my 2nd pregnancy. 6 1/2 weeks in. last pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 14 weeks (never cramped or bled it was picked up on an UT and so i had a d&e right away) now all of sudden my progesterone is low. it dropped to 11 since last week. this did not happen the last time and yet it still did not end well. i am terrified.
I am not entirely sure what the numbers should be, but that doesn't sound overly low to me. Has your Dr. talked to you about progesterone supplements? Many of the womenWomen's way here take them through suppository, and I will be taking them orally. Maybe ask your OB about it. Best of luck, and try not to be too scared. There is every reason to believe this pregnancy will turn out well for you!!
My OB said that he prefers the progesterone level to be at least 20 in early pg. I agree with adgal that you should check with your doc about getting supplements. I have been on Prometrium pills for my last 4 pgs. Two ended in m/c, but I believe the 1st was a blighted ovum. The 2nd m/c my progesterone was just barely low, so I don't think that had anything to do with it. My pg in between the 2 m/c's produced a healthy daughter and I'm now 13.5w pg again and finished with the progesterone supplements. Hope everything goes well.
