hey ladies....had my baby girl 8/6/10

i am so sorry i did not post on this forum announcing the birth of my daughter...it has been such a busy time for my family since my baby was born at 32.2 weeks gestation and has been in nicu since her birth

i do have her full birth story in my journal as well as a journal entry for her nicu stay

well ladies...i had my baby girl today and she is so tiny but perfect in every way...i  have a long birth story to share including how i got stuck delivering the baby all natural and my goodness how painful that was....but i am super tired right now...

her stats are as follows:

She is 17 3/4" long and weighed 4 lbs 3 oz....she'll prob be in nicu for a couple of weeks

oh wow.  I've been out of touch for a while but decided to come on today.  Congrats.  I'm glad to hear she is alright and doing good.

the doc is saying that emilee is 2 weeks ahead gestationally...she is very long (18") and has been eating like a champ since 2 days old and 32 week babies just dont do that...so quite possibly my due date was messed up by 2 weeks

the only issue we run into is her temps and maintaining them but the hallway that emi's room is on is very cold...i asked if we could close the doors and see if that makes a difference and it sure did...so i guess the ac has been affecting her temps

i go in today to touchbase and see what the plan is...i should find out if they are still planning on discharging her on saturday or if we are going to wait a bit yet

she is now 4.86 lbs

She is such a beautiful little girl!! I know you are in a hurry to get her home buut please let the nicu care for her untill you are 100% confident that she will do fine at home. Remember she was born at 32 weeks and should still be in your belly for at least 5 more weeks. I know its hard but try to catch up on some sleep now while you can:~)

thanks ladies...there were so many comments i couldnt possibly reply back to everybody

we are haivng issues again with emilee's temps...she just cant seem to keep them up on her own....i doubt she will be getting discharged now on saturday...it really is a disappointment because i really look forward to bringing my baby home but i guess its just too soon yet

ill see how she holds up tonight and what the doc says tomorrow

Congrats on your gorgeouse little bundle of joy!  Sorry about her having to be in the nicu; hoping she kicks butt and gets out of there soon.  Take care!
