just started on this journey - advice?

Hi,  I've just found out I have high fsh levels (didn't give me a number) I'm 39 and have been having menopausal symptoms for the last 3 years but the results came back normal before now.  My partner and I are desperate to have a baby. We are being referred to the hospital for more tests.  Can anyone tell me what the tests are likely to be and anything I can do to move them along quicker?

Well, first off I would say you need to know how high is high?  I have learned through this forum that OB's and Dr.s have different ideas.  Example, my fsh last time was 8.5.  My OB considers that very normal.  Other women on here have had a similar result and told it was high.  On line, it says I should still be able to conceive.

I am not sure what other tests they will run.  I have not been tested for infertility.  However, I do know that if your fsh is too high for you to conceive on your own, there are many options available to you.  We have had women here conceive through donor egg, we currently have someone undergoing embryo adoption, etc.  So try not to worry too much, there is always a way!!

I wish you all the best, and welcome!
