menstrual type crams on Femara?

I'm having ovulation issues - as usual.  Two weeks ago, I did my first cycle of Femara of 2.5mg on CD 3-7.  Nothing happened so I am now on CD 7 of 5mg and hoping for the big O.

I have been having menstrual type cramps and even some lower back aches for a couple of days now.  I have done Clomid several times and never experienced any side effects.

I'm hoping this is a good sign!  Anyone experience this on Femara?

Or has anyone not O'ed on 2.5mg but been successful at 5mg?

I read your question because I googled the similar question as yours. I’ve done 5 rounds of clomid with no success. I did a round of femara. And I am feeling craps with lots of bloating. I am about 8 days away from my period and I took a pregnancy test and it was negative.  Did you end up getting pregnant? With those symptoms??

Gosh, I hope that this works for you!  Femara has a pretty high rate of playing a positive role in getting pregnant and produces greater results than clomid. I had cramping like my period was coming on when I was early pregnancy.  It's too early to test.  I did use the early testing strips but didn't get a positive until 4 days out from my period. Do you temperature check?  I found that extremely effective in understanding when I ovulated and if I was pregnant or not.  Charting that was pretty great at looking at what my body was doing and I could tell when I was pregnant or when my period was about to start instead. TWO times only did my tem stay up, two pregnancies.  I can tell you how to do it if you are unfamiliar.  It's a great tool when TTC

Oh good...I hope!  I'm hoping this is a good sign and that I'm at least responding to this dosage.

My RE has also recommended the injections route (just advising us to get aggressive) so we might be there after one or two rounds of Femara.

best of luck to you in this 2ww!!!
