menstruation after

by DotingMOM, Jul 01, 2009 12:55AM
I had a normal miscarriage on my 9th weeks, and went through D & C.
It's coming to 2 months and I've yet to menstruate. There's also some irregular discharge.
Any info?

It can take sometimes take two months or a more for one's cycle to resume after a d&c.  I think you should go ahead and call your doctor - perhaps your system needs a jump-start and need a prescription like Prometrium (sometimes given to bring on menstruation).

I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage.  After my d&c it took about 10 weeks before my cycle had returned to normal. This is so frustrating because I felt like I was just wasting precious time.

I agree with Jen (40smama) ask your doctor to prescribe some Prometium, this always helped with jump starting my cycle!

I am sorry to hear about your loss. At 2 months, I too would talk to your Dr.  Good luck to you.
