miracle or not

I'm 48 i went not my gyno to get my iud out.  (The copper T goOd for 10 yrs) SO the dr said to me that this was gonna be a very high risk preg because the iud he suggested waiting till i was strong enough second trimester to remove. So my question is how many of you would continue the pregnancy?

I would say give the baby a chance.  Wouldnt you always wonder if you didn't???

I had mine taken out at 7 weeks. It tore some of the uterus and was scary as he'll for 2 weeks on bed rest. Happily I am now at 25 weeks with a healthy boy and am not a high risk. I would go to another doc and have them remove it with an ultrasound. Hugs from here as I know exactly what you are going through.

I wouldn't terminate - if it happens spontaneously that's one thing but I would totally encourage you to have hope and wait for a chance to get it safely removed. Miracles still happen!! Keep us posted!

My friend just had her healthy son while her iud was in place the entire pregnancy. Her Dr waited until she delivered her son. She was considered high risk because of the iud, but never had any problems. Let the baby live..

My friend carried to term with an IUD in place.  I would not terminate for this reason, though of course I would be prepared for the worst (a miscarriage).

Go for it you may be surprised with a easy pregnancy and beautiful baby. I would look up opinions for removal of the implant.

That's really up to you. I also got pregnant with an IUD in, but I lost that pregnancy. That's pretty common with pregnancies that occur with IUDs. But I'd give it a shot if I were in that situation again.
