ovulation

If your cycle is every 27 days. Is it possilbe to get pregnant on day 9 of cycle and what are the chances of that? high or low? Im 42 yrs old. it is possilbe that ovualtion comes earlier as you get older?

I discovered that I ovulate early in my cycle. I have a 28 day cycle and usually ovulate around day 10 or 11. So I suppose day 9 is possible. As Amanda said, though, sperm can live for five days...so even if you had sex on day 9, you could still get pg. :-)

Certainly it is possible.  It is a tad bit unusual though.  If your cycles are regular, you typically ovulate 2 weeks prior to the start of your period.  So a 27 day cycle, you most likely ovulated CD 13.  Now, it is very possible that if you had unprotected sex on CD 9 that the sperm lived until you ovulated.  It can live up to 5 days in a fertile enviroment (at least I think thats the time frame)  However, we are all different and unless you were tracking ovulation it is impossible to know for sure.  All the best of luck to you.
