preeclampsia?

I'm 30 weeks today. Yesterday, I was told I had a lot of protein in my urine and tomorrow I have to have a full panel blood test for preeclampsia and was ordered to bed rest until the results come in.  I'm a nervous wreck. Has anyone gone through this?

My doctor also had said my blood pressure was high and I had protein in my urine, I then had a check up in my antenatal clinic and they sent away a urine sample and they had told me that I actually had UTI (urinary tract infection) and was kept over night on an antibiotic drip.

Ladies,
Did they test you for uterine notching @ 20 weeks. If there s notching and high resistance blood flow in uterine arteries, you may develop preeclampsia, iugr, pih etc in your pregnancy. Watch out for this and monitor your bp, protein in urine, baby's growth.

I had eclampsia in my first pregnancy and was induced at 32 weeks. With my second I didn't work to take it easy and I ate less than 1,000 mg of sodium per day and I made it to 37 weeks.

I went through this in September. I was 29 weeks pregnant and my blood pressure was 198/108. It landed me a 2 week stay in the hospital for observation. The first day my protein was only a couple hundred over where it was supposed to be. The next evening they started another collection, but they decided to deliver the baby because I was getting worse. My urine collection results came back after my csection and the protein was in the thousands.

I'm only 21 weeks and also have high protein.  I had to do the 24 hour urine collection and blood work.  They came back extremely high.  I have to get more bloodwork on Monday and an ultrasound of my kidneys.  Good news is my bp is low. They said the fear is if the protein and bp are high you may have preeclamsia. It can cause stress to the baby and you may have to deliver early.  Since I'm only 21 weeks they are keeping a very close eye. They want me to keep checking my bp and watch what I eat, limiting the salt.

Good luck!

What's your BP? Any swellings and/or headaches?
