Hi I,m totally new to this so please bear with me. This may sound daft but at 41yrs old I would love to have another baby. The problem is I,ve been diagnosed as being pre menopausal with a fsh level of 29!! I would just like some feedback and sound advise.

I can't offer you any advice, just moral support.  I am in a similar situation.  Do you know what your AMH level is?  I am told that this is a better indicator than the fsh level, since your fsh level can change and your AMH level is supposed to be constant.  If you have not had an AMH test yet, I would ask for one.  Also, if you have not had an HSG test yet, I would ask for one of those as well.  I was surprised when I found out I had one blocked fallopian tube via an HSG test.  You need to be armed with a complete set of knowledge.  Then, you need to decide whether or not you are willing to do artificial insemmination or IVF.  If you decide you will do IVF, you need to decide if you will chance it with your own eggs or go with donor eggs to give yourself a much higher success rate.  Since you are 4 years younger then me, you are at an advantage.  But, you have to act fast, because every month and every year counts at our "advanced maternal age."  Unfortunately, I have a blocked tube and a low AMH level.  So, my prospects do not look very good.  I might have to get over the whole ego thing about using donor eggs and give it a go.
